Front calipers are cable operated, the rear is hydraulic so probably a little more balanced that it first appears  ;)

Considering ElectricDave is building it on a tight budget using "recycled" parts wherever possible, it really is an amazing machine.

The plan is to send it up Brooklands Test Hill and also give it a run at next years Santa Pod AER, so it isnt exactly being built for everyday use  :). Similar to "Challenger" ,it's mainly about straight line and short burst of power. But I expect it will go well on the Mercedes Benz test track  ;D

Can't wait  ;D

Karl

Just a brief update - work is continuing on the c5000, with electricDave busy constructing a mechanical speed controller similar to this;

Also started prepping the bodyshell for its paintjob  8)

Really looking forward to seeing the pictures when its finished

Retro Andy.

I went along to see the c5000 today - it needed a new front tyre as it had destroyed a Schwalbe  :o I managed to get a motorcycle tyre designed for a mini-dirt bike that is much stronger and should do the job  :)

It already looks absolutely breath taking now its all painted up, and once the stickers are applied I'm sure it will look even better.

I've decided not to put any pictures on here at the moment, choosing to wait instead until its debut in September at the Brooklands event.

You will be in for a very pleasant surprise  8)

We will be giving it a "road test" at Brooklands very soon....might have to cover it in some weird cardboard bodywork to stop any secret photography  ;D

techytype

just love he mode of the plexi fly screen, that will look real cool when the project is painted up imo

Another little taster;

...it went for its first test run at Brooklands today  8)

As expected, it did highlight the need for a bit of tweaking before the main event on the 12th - but then it was a similar experience with Challengers test runs last year.

It was only set up to run on 6,12 and 24v today but it was nonetheless very impressive ElectricDave summed it up as "exhilarating"  ;D

Imagine what 36 and 48v will be like  :o :D

Back for more testing later in the week, but suffice to say it impressed a lot of people today !
