alternative motor

does anyoneknow  if i can use an alternative motor to the original?
the one i have has passed away!, and i really want to get my c5 up and running
any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful

Hi Steve - the motor might be repairable - what is up with it ?
I understand Chas has a number of original motor's for sale  :) if that's of any help

hammy - the motors are really basic, as long as the end of the armature hasn't snapped it should be repairable.

The handbook contains all the info on how to dismantle one (see download section for link), plus there are a couple of topics on this forum that include pictures on how to take it apart (and put it back together  ;))
