Project C5 wanted!
« on: 15, September, 2010 - 18:39:50 »
Hi all,

I'm looking for a C5 project. Doesn't have to run. Willing to pay about £100. Anyone got one at that price?

Thanks,
Kamil

Would around £100 be enough to get a project C5 in need of a rebuild with a knackered motor/not running?

never say never  :) depends on where you look and how patient you are  ;).

Personally I never pay more than £150 for a c5 that needs restoring - but that does mean I let quite a few pass me by  ;D

I can wait for quite a bit, I won't get to ride it on the road till I'm 14 anyway.

Keep looking on e-bay, you will have to keep your fingers crossed to find one thats close to you and at that sort of price, one thing to point out if you get hold of one for less than £100.00 it may well have a reason for it and it could end up costing more to get it running again, try not to get one with too many parts missing (unless you don't intend on using the electric's etc) as finding boots, lamps, wheel covers etc are difficult to find.

Hi guys,

Just an update on this. I have spoken to my parents and we have agreed that they will get me one on my 13th birthday in March :D So I can have a project to do up for when I'm 14.

Friend of mine just bought a C5 for 20 euro,
I just bought three A1 conditions, very complete C5's for a very reasonable price.
Keep an eye open, they are always there to be found.
www.marktplaats.nl is my treasure hunt space. ;)
Could keep an eye on that site as well and you come over for the meeting in july to collect it! (if succesfull) one euro is 0.82 GBP at the moment.
