just stripped down the motor/gearbox .As you can see it's in very good condition ...
All it needs is a good clean and greased .Then rebuilding ....
.You can also see that it has had very little use by looking at the brushers .

Just rebuilt the motor and tested it ..Sounds and run's great ....

Anyway done a bit more today .
Horn fitted
New safety leasure battery quick realease connectors fitted
Control box/pod to be checked out (did a quick test and both faulty) so have fitted working ones
now working great ...
Fitted cable tie on motor support bracket (take a look )

Also fitted a new 18mm drive belt ,Also new side stickers .Tested and everthing working as it should ..All I need now is to fit the boot + new lock on to it / back light and the mirrors then when the snow has gone(hopefully soon) a good test run ....Then it will be put for sale on Ebay .....

Another project waiting to be started ....

Hi all just finnished the above .
fitted the mirrors / back light / also fitted LED bulbs to the back/front lights ...
Just need some nice weather to go on a run to test everthing

Chas, brilliant restoration, like the stripdown videos and would love to see a rebuild step by step video.

My next C5 I would like to do a full restore and I would find such a video a great help as literature is very sp*pardon my French*. If there is already such a video please can someone advise.

Hi there Lance my next project has already began, A video has already been taken of the strip down taken by a friend of mine (Lee another c5 restorer ) And when we get time we will be taking a video of the rebuild of the C5 ...very soon....(regarding the commentary well neither one of us want to do it but I think that I will have to on the build up ......
