what charger ?????
« on: 02, May, 2012 - 22:26:11 »
Hi everybody

My new battery arrived on Monday and so far im really happy with it, I went for a cheap option as i had just bought my C5 and funds are low, the battery i got is made by "Alphanine" i think or something along those lines and it's from Amazon for only £36 (12volt 44ah).

Problem is i still dont own  a charger and if im honest im hoping to go out for as long as possible at the week end which will probably result in a flat battery before monday.

any suggestions for a cheap compatible charger would be much appreciated !!!!!!

Thanks

Ant

Any 12V car battery charger will do.

I mainly use the original charger, but I also have one of these Halfords chargers and it charges my batteries up fine.

Edited to add:

One of these would do.

As Kamil says, any 12v charger should be ok , I've tried the cheap one from my local Lidl and was very happy with it;

I think most modern chargers will turn to trickle charge once they have reached battery capacity - just avoid the real old ones that can 'fry' batteries ie they give a continuous full charge rate.  :) :)
