Top bodging today

Finally back on the road. I buggered up the rear brakes cable trying to replace the drum brake. Threaded a bolt and the cable was rubbing in the sheath. A friend has been promising to have a look but he's really busy so decided to have a go using bits from a knackered bike in the garage. This meant I had to replace the brake lever too. I don't have a hand brake anymore but I'm pretty pleased with the bodge and it's so nice to go for an explore around the new area I live in.

My other little project for the day was a tall desk / computer stand so I can cycle while I work. I really need to start being more healthy so I've got this exercise bike and now I can design away while keeping fit.

Considering the whole thing was built with just old bits of wardrobe and a screw driver I'm pretty pleased. I am definitely investing in a drill and saw now though! Even a hammer would have helped today.

Very good, you can always get out on your C5 more, the pedalling is good for the legs when the battery isn't great  :)
