RC Watt Meters and other potentially useful gear.
« on: 07, April, 2014 - 22:50:01 »
Having not seen watt meters mentioned anywhere on the forum I thought I 'll bring them up.
Has anyone considered using an RC watt meter alongside the pod or as a replacement for it?
One like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turnigy-130A-Watt-Meter-and-Power-Analyzer-in-stock-from-UK-with-fast-dispatch-/281106316902?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item41733dfe66 found on ebay can display voltage and current up to 60v and 130amps. It also shows wattage and amp hours used it just needs to be wired inline between the battery and load i.e. motor.

Also 50kg high torque servos could be used to electronically apply the brakes as part of a killswitch or create an Radio Controlled 'ghost' C5.
