Gone with the Wind!
« on: 18, November, 2009 - 11:23:12 »
Went out last night for a spin.  Started to miss my outings.

Wow!  I've never been out in such wind - it's really rough here being on the coast.

I found that areodynamically speaking, it went like a dream.  I barely had to pedal or apply power at one point, on the basis that the C5 coasts and rolls so easily.  The wind pushed me through much of my journey.  Applying power or pedalling simply increased the already satisfying speed.  I must've managed about 20-25mph on the flat at some point.  Amazing!

When driving into the wind, the wind seems to slide up the front of the C5 and over my head, thus preventing me from coming to a stop!  Amazing.  Truly remarkable.  It's been said thousands of times I'm sure, but I'll say it again...  The C5 was way ahead of its time!

I found that driving with side panels on was scary. Side winds really blow the c5 all over the road. It's ok once you get used to it though.

I do like the look of the side panels, its one thing I want to get when I see Adam next.
