from the back of the board X3 to R1 has completely melted, you maybe able to see from this picture, I was wondering though if its possible to just solder a wire between them?

not sure as to why this would happen, it has a set up for 2 batteries so presume it must have been running with 2, what mods do you need to do to run a c5 on car batteris?
thanks

thanks chris!
You're welcome! ;)
Hey that's not half bad. Should be back on the road in no time...
Not sure what component D1 is but I'm sure there's a component list on this site somewhere. As for the back of the board you could just solder a bit of patch wire to replace the broken track.

thanks chris, part on order and have found my old soldering iron from storage! will try myself then probably pass on to someone who knows better! body will be off tomorrow night then off to be sand blasted and powder coated, local company half mile up the road. got 3 new tyres from friend that owes me a favour for 20 quid! bearing kit ordered from ebay and brake cables from c5alive. need to know the best way of cleaning body or which paint to use for respray? things going well so far, only 4 days since i picked her up!

Is that a cat in the background or a racoon? :D

well, 27 quid down at maplins, thanks chris, new soldering iron and the bits i needed and looks ok, double checked everything and found to my surprise that the 5 amp fuse i bought on sunday does not work! so hoping that when all back together it should work just fine, suspect the flashing left pod is now a wire issue and will check tomorrow. pod checked out ok, sometimes, just sometimes, bless him, its quite good to live next door to a guy that was a head honcho for texas instruments back in the day! he even remembers the watches sir clive bought out and a calculator.
Not a racoon im afraid, just a wild cat i picked up along the way, peanut i called her, as she has a fondness for peanut butter when i dropped my toast in the morning and she pounced on it. she rather likes the c5 and has been asleep on the seat in the garage. I think I remember the cartoon also though!
thanks again chris for the maplins link.

the guy who lives in the house behind my house designed all the leaflets and stuff to do with the c5, gonna go round sometime and show him my c5. wierdly my cat enjoys sitting in the boot of my c5 :)

Glad it's coming together :)
Hopefully mine will be back on the road by the end of this week, I spent all afternoon stripping and cleaning my motor and gearbox. You should have seen the horrors that lay inside! See the gallery section for pics...
