How much weight can it take?
« on: 20, September, 2011 - 19:50:02 »
I thought I'd ask this question before I get my C5. How much weight can a C5 chassis take, and would it be a bad idea (ignoring comfort) to ride with, say, a girl on your lap? Just thought I'd ask before I get my C5 and go out on it. ;)

Not sure about the weight part of it, from a legal side, the C5 is constructed for one person and to comply with the law you shouldn't have a second person traveling on it at the same time, also i would think you would not have proper control of it and maybe leaving yourself open to being reported for other offences.  8)

If I were to go with two people in it, I would only go up and down our private close, not for like a run down the local chippy  ;D

No probs, i wouldn't risk it just in case. I suppose it depends on how heavy the young lady was  :-\

You will have to be the judge of that !  ;D ;D ;D

If you do, post a video up here !!!  8)

From experience, even peddaling with a 4 year old on your lap can be a bit awkward  :D

The link to the full "tech spec" is in the forum guide section;

..but as has already been said, it isn't as straight forward as just the weight limit there is also the issue of proper control as well. Might find yourself getting tugged, which would be quite interesting  :D
