Advice on my new purchase
« on: 06, May, 2010 - 21:22:53 »
Hi,
I have just purchased a C5 with original paperwork, new battery and some accssories. My questions are please:-

1. Are there any problem areas on this running and well kept C5 that I should look out for?

2. Where can I buy the yellow reflective tape and wing mirrors please?

Thanks Slerry

Welcome to the c5alive forum, and the wonderful world of c5 ownership - fun & frustration in equal measure  ;D

Reflective tape is here;
http://c5alive.co.uk/ecommerce/product_info.php?cPath=4_5&products_id=41&osCsid=c29f434dc068b909ae309d7a8159476d

Wing mirrors - these are usually available new via Adam Harper at Sinclair Vehicles, but he is taking some time out. Keep checking his link on the Friends of c5alive section. Alternatively ,they do crop up on Ebay every now and then.

As for the c5 itself, the golden rule is never push it backwards at anything greater than a slow walking pace - the motor acts as a generator and upsets the fuses.

I'd advise you to read the forum guide and print off a copy of the unofficial owners handbook - lots of useful info there  ;)

Hi Slerry and welcome to the forum, good to here you have got a C5, they are great fun and the meetings you can attend are the best part, getting together and having a laugh as a group.
I find mine has been really reliable as I have used lots to get to work and is still going well.
