Possible replacement indicators
« on: 24, December, 2011 - 16:01:17 »
Found these in my local Range store

Set of two flasher lamps with bulbs £2.99. Look like they would make good indicators for the C5 - they also seem to do white, blue and red, though I only spotted white.

Would these be easy to wire up for a dunce like me?

Hi thedesintailor,

You can use these or any other indicator and use the standard C5 wiring details for fitting the indicators. All you will need is to get a flasher unit (2 pin version - 2 x untested versions below) and a three position switch from someone on the forum or ebay, wire (can get colour as from Maplins, ebay and DIY stores) and a 5 amp connector strip again from ebay, maplins or a DIY store.

Or you could speak with Chas as he has made wiring harnesses and flasher (Hazard warning) systems.

Hi regarding the flasher unit you must make sure that it will work on the C5 (the front and back L/R bulbs total up to 15 watt per side only ) so not sure if they would work .
