This is my latest restoration project ...photos before starting the Restoration .
I know that it looks ok but it hasn't run for about 4 years .and as you can see there is some surface rust .the tyres need changing .all the bearings need checking replacing if worn and then re-greasing .new brake cables . stickers a new belt / new power cables with built in safety in case connected the wrong way round .Front brake shoes + all metal parts sanded down cleaned and re sprayed /body will be deep cleaned /++++ the motor will be stripped down checked cleaned re greased , built back up ....control/box / pod wiring will also be checked and repaired if need be
new switch bracket / + connecting back the horn in the right place .stearing checked out ...+ + +  +

More photos of the motor striped down









 bearings / brushers look ok .Body just needs cleaning .Bearings need greasing Gearbox was dry needs a good clean and repacking with grease.
As you can see the motor shaft is in good condition the bearings are ok and not snapped of the shaft

Got relations staying at the moment but will be free to start the restoration later this week (cannot wait) keep looking

Just managed to escape for an hour this afternoon and started on the motor it.s now ready for rebuilding up after I.v applied some grease to the bearings + gearbox .

Looked a really nice C5 before you started mate, so its going to the buisness when you have finished with it, look forward to more pictures.

Hi there Andy you are right but had not been used for some time and it needed a strip down and a good clean and some new parts fitted to replace some of the old one's ....
Will build the motor /gearbox backup first then start on the chassis
will post photo's as I go on .Chas

Motor now rebuilt up bearings/gearbox greased .Now tested working great .

Just started cleaning up parts today .And started building up the chassis as you will see .

Now completed .Just taken it out for a run and everthing was working great as it should be ...
As you can see its now a stunner .
The owner will be very pleased with it (Fingers crossed)
