Clean the body off with ulta warm soapy (washing up liquid) water
then scrub every part you want to paint hard with this occasionaly dipping it in the water make sure you rub everywhere!.......

Then rinse off and allow to dry as in bone dessert dry.

Then mask the parts you dont want to paint and spray the areas you do with a coat of this.......

allow to dry bout 10mins then spray on a light coat of this.......

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-x-400ml-CANS-OF-HYCOTE-PLASTIC-PRIMER-SPRAY_W0QQitemZ320242696598QQcmdZViewItem (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-x-400ml-CANS-OF-HYCOTE-PLASTIC-PRIMER-SPRAY_W0QQitemZ320242696598QQcmdZViewItem)

then apply another 2 medium coats of the plastic primer and allow to dry overnight.

then apply your matte black light coat first then 2 medum coats and allow to dry.

Stand back and admire your stealth c5!

If it's gonna be a black C5 you just HAVE to put a whirly red light on the front like Knight Rider! hahaha! ;) :D

Good idea !

I have just ordered 4 12v strobe lights offa Ebay , so we will see what that does.
I am spraying it coz the body shell is a bit knackered , loads of gouges and a couple of holes underneath

... and a couple of holes underneath

You might want to leave those holes , might be useful to drain away the excess "adrenalin" when your brakes fail  :P

Kev

I am happy to lend you my compressor mate if you want to go that route - It will result in a better job in the long run, but as Hank has proved, spray cans can also do a better than superb job !

Mark

Cheers Mate! Yeah I did use loads more paint than I could of. But that was due to lack of funds for compressor and no where to spray inside. I was out in the wind so the wind was becoming yellow! lol But it does look ok, im going to one day do another one! :)

hahaha! I did end up- using a tarpaulin and arranged it over the c5 so it was kinda covered, you could try that to block out some of the wind!
