Maybe a bit wet but was still fun and a good excuse to try our 'c5' wet weather gear!
Definetly like the idea of doing this run again in the summer and nice to see Ray again.

Hi there!
I was driving along the A259 today and saw a group of 6 C5s out in the rain.
I couldn't help myself and had to take some photos of you all on my mobile phone. A bit of googling later and I've found this contact email for you via your homepage. Looking at your forum I think that you are in at least one of the shots. If you'd like to use them then you are more than welcome to. They can be found on

Thank you for putting a big smile on my face on an otherwise wet and windy day. Hope you all enjoyed yourselves.
This was an email I received from Captain FF ;D

That is so cool, shame captainff didnt stop for a chat 8)
Here are some more piccies from Ray;

Just a quick footnote, I'd highly recommend giving your C5's a wash down after this run - you wouldn't believe the amount of sand I hosed off my C5's today :o.

I was more interested in a nice cup of hot chocolate and a seat close to the radiator :D

In a few of the pics there appears to be a shop called Monsoon
How apt ! ;D

In the top picture "NO CYCLING" is painted on the ground, was you sheltering from the rain or is this why you had to stop at that point ?

Sadly some parts of the lovely wide new tarmac had the cycle lane painted out ,the council seemed to have changed their mind in a few places. We spoke with staff at the "Control Office" who confirmed we were not allowed to use some parts of the promenade :-\
