i can see the headlines now - "C5alaive dose Paris" well Disney land at least  ::)

joking aside, that would be a real gas of a meet, and save all the walking about at the attraction at the same time  8)

Just for info the "event details" thread is for the updated main website page to link to, hence it is locked ;

Part of the increased publicity effort to try and get our event noticed.

Any help with this aspect of the evnt most appreciated  ;)

The Health & Safety risk assessment has been forwarded to Brooklands, I've viewed the room again to make sure I have a good idea of how I want it all laid out...coming together nicely  8)

Sadly Donna ,from Brooklands, will not be able to join us on the day but she has said she will leave us in the capable hands of one of her colleagues  :)

The guys at Practical Classics magazine have generously given us a mention in their events listing , page 11 of this months edition. Brooklands have also received an enquiry from a gent in Amsterdam who wants to bring along his C5...so word is getting round that this event is taking place.
I'll be placing an advert for our event in a local Newsagents ,next to my local train station , to highlight c5-25 to a few commuters etc. If anyone can help with some aditional publicity please go ahead. The more successful this event, the better - it will help to justify Brooklands faith in us.

I received confirmation today from Adam Harper that he will be attending c5-25  ;D

He has agreed to bring a stash of goodies to sell, so if you want to grab a bargain dont forget to bring along some beer tokens  ;). If you need a specific item it might be wise to text him to make sure he brings it along  8)

replay below to my enquiery -:

Hi Alan,  thank you for your email.  as far as I am aware there is no extra Museum entry charge on 10th January,  if there was  it would have been put on our events listing on our web site.

Kind regards

Donna

Our big event is next weekend  :o

Just to confirm who is doing what (in no particlar order);

Steve is bringing the big Dial-a-ride bus to transport c5's,gazebo's,display boards and display items to Brooklands.

RetroAndy is bringing a selection of 1980's games consoles etc, radiomarty & Kurt are also bringing a few items as well.

Umpa is bringing computer and projector to show a powerpoint display, Mrs Umpa is doing a "birthday cake"  8)

ElectricDave is bringing a working display prototype of the metal gearbox conversion (..saw it today, it is awesome  :))

Adam Harper is attending with a selection of Sinclair parts & accessories for sale - text him direct if you want a specific item to make sure he brings it along.

..everyone else is bringing along a c5 if they can  :)

Have I left anyone out ?

Good stuff  ;)

Don't forget, just a quick reminder for everyone, if you are bringing along any electrical equipment it must be PAT tested or you wont be allowed to plug it in.

Also, dont forget about your 1980's fancy dress. From phone conversations I've had it is going to be quite an amazing sight on the day ;D
