Anothere Car sales man .What a joke .I have 4 does that mean I would get £4000.00 for them if they sold ..Does Anyone want to buy them ....
-
Chas
Don't under price them, that would be £40,000 for the 4. Lol
Wonder if he had it in part ex. I bet the sales man is rubbing his hands, sitting back and waiting for the wonga to drop on his lap.
I would like to drop on a boxed never seen the light of day C5, but I dread to think how much he paid for it for him to think its worth £10,000
Think someone is in for a massive shock soon. Oh dear.
Chas it can only boost the price of the C5 if people see this on EBay.lol

Hi Mick you are right I only missed out a zero ....But how can anyone think that they are that expensive ..
Bye Chas
-
They probably haven't done any research into what c5s are selling for
-
Saw this on E-bay too, what a greedy numpty !!??
-
I contacted the seller just in case it was a typo and I could steal it for a thousand, below is his reply
"On a serious note, I have recently Sold one for £7,750 to a guy in USA, To add to His Collection of weird Automobiles. "
Just in case anyone would like to contact him with their boxed C5, he may have more than one queuing up.

Just in case of confusion it was not me that sold one for £7500 it was the seller on Ebay
-
I don't believe a word of it. The smallest of research would tell you that £1000 would get you a boxed one
-
I try to be as honest as I can
-
I didn't mean you I meant the seller!
If he had them queuing up it wouldn't be on eBay. He is just hoping some idiot buys it without doing any research.
If anyone pays that much they will be very sad when they start looking into them.
-
don't know if you have seen the picture advertising it but is says
'Affordable used cars'
Highlighted the bits that are wrong
If it's mint in box that means it hasn't been used.
If it's affordable it shouldn't cost much
:o :o :o :( :( :( >:( >:( >:( :P :P :P ??? ??? ??? :-\ :-\ :-\

Most of the C5 stuff on ebay is overpriced at the moment. Like the mirror brackets that started at £20 then went to £30 in the space of a week and are now back to £24.
People are just trying to cash in, it's nothing new. As for the £10,000 c5, I guess he's entitled to sell it for whatever he wants, if someone buys it then that's down to their own stupidity/lack of research.
I'm off now to list that c5 coat I got last week, starting bid of £200 ;D ;)

I know I was just pulling your leg

It's not affordable to me, but it would be for someone with loads of wonga they don't know what to do with.
£10,000 is certainly a talking point. One or two people I thought had no interest in C5's have said to me "there is one of those C5's on EBay, didn't realise a boxed one was worth that much, and so on and so on. Next thing you know every boxed C5 is having a dusting off ready for sale. If someone sticks another on EBay at the side of it for £1200 then I dare bet it's gone in a flash. Just sitting back and watching with interest where this is going. Do we actually need the white van and straight jacket yet for the seller, I don't think so.
Dan
I think you need to corner the market first, lol. Perhaps you could have a word with the £10,000 seller and ask him if he would like to buy the coat, it may help him attain his asking price then.

I had a 1954 Raliegh Dawn Tourist... Standard bike, worth about £60. I noticed one in America on FleeBay for £6,500. I contacted the seller asking what made him think it was worth so much and his response wasalong the lines of "If someone wants it, they'll pay it". He was a trader, had about 40 stupidly priced bikes for sale and it actually sold about 8 months later! Money doesn't buy intelligence... If I'd made £100 for mine which was in better condition I'd have been laughing...

As with most things in life, if you offer it free people think it has no value, and if you ridiculously overprice something then it becomes 'desirable'. So this is good news for the reputation of the C5. Just watch the snide jokes about it disappear as the price tag goes through the roof.
