I've received the following email;

Hi Karl,

Myself and a few friends are currently doing a 10 minute geeky type comedy show on Youtube, which goes out every Friday and this coming Friday we're doing a Sir Clive Sinclair special, and wondered if you could possibly put us in contact with any C5 owners that live around Cambridge or Bury St Edmunds that might be interested in being involved?

Kind Regards
Adrian Killens

...anyone able to help ?

My money would be on Alan1310  ;D

well this alan would have loved to help out, Bury St Edmunds is about 1 1/4 hours from me and i now have 2 machines including the fearsome bright yellow BEHMOTHE, but it's at to shorter notice.

if they can reschedule for the following Friday i'd be better available to help

i think you have my mobile so pass it on to them Karl

Hi, I'm the one that needed the C5, in the end I actually purchased on second hand for the clip, but intend to restore it now I own it, it's something I've thought about doing for a while, and this finally pushed me to do it :-)

Anyway, you can check out the completed YouTube feature here:

I imagine I'll probably on this forum a lot more, asking random questions, my C5 is missing a fair few parts, and I'm still getting my head around how it tackle it.

I did enjoy watching this video this morning.

However, the spectrum guy was wrong - it had 48k ram + 16k rom. however, memory 16384 - 23296 (8k) was used for the screen and then a few bytes for various pointers - UDG , stack etc, then start of basic mem.

So really, you did have just under 40k...

Spectrum Nerd moment over!

Did you get the C5 from royston?
