Sinclair C5 in Fribourg Switzerland
« on: 26, March, 2012 - 08:49:56 »
Hi

yesterday I bought on an oldtimer market 2 Sinclairs.
One is with shimano gear shift front 3 sprockets and back 5 sprockets. The other one seems to be with 2 batteries but no  wheels on the back. No batteries yet installed I hope to get it going with my Optima Yellow from my VW T3 (T25 for Englisch People)
And a spare frame.

I hope to find  some people from switzerland so that we can meet.

Other vehicles are 2 Solo Electra and 2 ETV Scooter, unfortunately only one Solo is working.

Until I figure out how to insert pictures here look here -> http://www.baier.ch/electro-bike

I have to do the same for Switzerland, the former owner just used it as is and said the police was ok when he had asked.
I don't think that the fribourg police is so generous.
Someone in germany has made the conversion already -> http://www.cypax.net/projects/c5/index?language=de

Hello.

I am from the south of EUROPA, but i understand very good german and i have read this page cypax very carfuely and there are a few good ideas.
I think to put a control unit from the in momento alible PENDELEC will not be a problem.

I am think to put a brusless motor in the front wheel hare are 12inch motors with well for about 120USD.

But first i will make a littel expirience with the orginal motor.

Ah you can wirte me in German  ;) iam a nativ German.

Best regards.

Thorsten

your electra looks nice.
Best one is this http://homepage.hispeed.ch/Spridget/soloelectra/soloelectra.htm , he uses an english motor.
I have to figure out how to put a better motor control in my Solo because the Bosch engine make weird noises when he get the "short circuit" to start.
