nylon screw fittings to hold control box.

hi, i am in need of 2 sets of the plastic screw grommet fittings / housing that fits in the chassis to hold control box. i sandblasted both frames and powder coated.... forgot to remove plastic fitings before frame went in oven... oops.

I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME MARTY  ;D They are at the moment, but I will remove them before the powder coating, I will try not to break them as mine did, I hope to finish the sand blasting one morning next week and then take it for the powder coat, so should be all done by Brooklands  :)

I found a pair of plastic inserts which are for car door interior panels at work that fitted when I did mine, its not the sort of thing used on new cars, but you could try your luck at the parts department of any of your local car dealership.

I sourced some car fittings for my chassis:I think I got mine from Moss Plastics as free samples; cannot remember the part number but they are for 8mm round holes so just search their internet catalogue. Once you put slightly oversize screws in them they do grip into the rectangular chassis holes.

If anyone does find the supplier, it might be an idea to add it to the "tried and tested" section so the info doesn't get lost amongst these other topics.
