Is it possible to build a home made chassis

(1/2) > >>

Ariablutron98:
Hay people after taking my c5 out for a spin after school it came to me that when I went to b&q last time I saw thick and long steel tubes. Using my welding skills and also my drill and some bike spare parts would it be possible?
Thanks

It would only be worthwhile if you were making provision for additional features such as a different power unit or a gearbox for the pedal operation. Otherwise you would have great difficulty in making a lighter and stiffer chassis than Lotus designed .
