A little way off but enough notice for making arrangements, does anyone want to join us for a Crawley run on Sunday April 22nd ?
The route is about 10miles and is great for anyone new to c5's as it uses the cycle lane network and there is not much in the way of hills, plus a nice mid-way stop at Tilgate Forest.
-
Hi BooBoo (Karl) Sorry bit too far for us Northerners. Have fun all............................................. :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

If I have transport, I'm in!
Scrapping my bus in the next couple weeks though :(
-
I'll put it on the calendar 8)
-
It's a possibility, but like Mike, depends on transport, as the Estima wil be going shortly.
-
I may possibly be there, depends if I can persuade one of the parents to drive me down there.
-
I will be using this Crawley run to test ride some of the latest "Rotterdam" C5's , so if those that cant get their own c5 down here maybe you could borrow one of mine ;) Give me some notice first though to make sure they're still available. Hope to sell one or two over the next month or so.
Shame to hear all the Estima's are going , I really miss the carrying capacity of my old bus :'(...but loving the 4.0 v6 burble of my 4x4 :P
-
Karl, If I don't have to transport a C5, my likelihood of attending increases dramatically :)
-
Hope to get along Karl as it will be a chance to try out goldfinger in its new format but it all depends on getting a tow bar on the old cavalier and if i am still employed !
-
Emily just reminded me that a C5 will fit in a Skoda Octavia ( which we have ;D ) so i might have to come along ;D
-
Hi Karl,
I will be attending all going well cant see a problem at the moment and will bring my C5 with me
Thanks
Gary
-
Looking forward to us all going out on a c5run again, seems to have been quite a while since the last one !
-
Hi Karl,
i'm looking to attend this one - work/decorating/grandkids/family emergecied/sun spots permitting lol!

Thanks Karl I will love to go on the run If you can have a C5 ready ..I will bring a battery ...
-
Chas - I've just got one of the recent Rotterdam C5's up and running today, so you can use that one.
MikeDx - if you still want to come along there is the option of using the "new out the box" c5 that went to Zutphen with us.
Dan - if you want to join in this run I'll get the furry one running for ya 8)
Guys - the only snag is that I dont have enough batteries, so you will need to bring at least one along if you want to play ;)
-
Ok thanks Karl that will be great ......
-
I certainly won't be there. Mum is out of the country that weekend and Dad is working. A real shame :(.
-
Hey Karl
I can bring a battery or two (I think)
so count me in :)
-
Shame you cant make it Kamil, I think its a run that you'd really enjoy
Not wanting to state the obvious, but could anyone bringing along a battery for this please make sure it is fully charged on the day ;D

No problem Ray, but you'll still need to bring a battery if possible.
There are a few others asking about borrowing a c5 earlier in this topic so ,just to give me an idea of how many C5's I need to get ready , if you are coming along to this and need to borrow a C5 can you confirm and let me know asap.
-
Sadly don't think we are able to make this one now :( :( :( :(

No worries matie , thanks for letting me know.
If anyone else needs to borrow a c5 for this run you'll need to speak fairly soon so I know how many to get ready for the day :).
-
Hi Karl, hope to join you for this one and make sure Alan behaves himself.
Hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to catching up.
-
Ray if you want to come to mine and bung your c5 in the back of my bus with mine you are more than welcome to do so!
Dont worry, im in the RAC! ;)
-
i don't suppose anyone has a battery with original top i could use?
-
I'll be there! Dad's got the day off work and can drive me down with the C5 ;D
-
Great news :)
This'll be my first Crawly run, but have been on others, and they're lots of fun :)
-
I'm a 90% certainty now! :D
-
Looking as though we're going to have a nice group of us on the day :)
Jonny , if there are no spare batteries to fit yours we could (a) loan you a spare c5 that has one of my wiring kits or (b) fit one of my wiring kits to yours ;D. Either way, you're welcome to come along and take part...we will get you mobile ;)

Just a reminder of the address details etc.
Let me know if you're still coming so we know who to wait for anyone running a bit late on the day ;)
-
I'll be there! ;D
If it rains will you have a Sinclair jacket I could borrow for the day, Karl? ;)
-
Karl
I am going to try and get to this now, hope to see you Sunday. 8)
John
-
I'll be there :)
If it rains
I don't think they'll be an if about it ... think we're going to get wet ;D ;D
-
Soz guys, i've got to pull out :(
Very large local contract chance i can't turn away. i'm to meet clients Saturday, then write it up Sunday for Monday delivery.
Be safe, and don't get to wet shame really, as the Yellow C5 would make a great back marker for the convoy :).
If we are doing the Brighton sea front run this year i hope to make that.

I think the list of riders for the day is ;

Angie

Got the C5 all packed up and looking quite snug in the car ... must remember to pack the battery though, as that's in the process of getting nicely charged up.
Hoping to leave here about 8.00, so should be with you all by 10.30 all going well :)
Looking forward to it .... and if we do get a bit wet, it could be worse ..... we could be running the Marathon ;D ;D

Im not going to see how the bus is running in the morning Karl.. The thought of getting stuck between here and Crawley isn't a great one :)
Plan B is to just drive down in the clio and borrow one of yours.. Is that still an option?
-
Hi Karl
Not going to make it, only just got in from work :((Couple of last minute customers >:()
Was really looking forward to this. :(

Plod - sorry to hear you cant make it .
Looking out the window this morning it is lovely blue skies....but it is due to rain later this afternoon though ::)
-
Have sent you a message Karl. Sorry mate, was really looking forward to it, seems it wasnt meant to be for me!
-
Just got back ... and it's raining ;D
Had a great day out, made even better with the weather behaving itself ... it actually nice and sunny 8)
Don't think anyone had any major issues, and mine only started playing up a bit about 1 mile from base, due to overheating ( see, it was a warm run )
Was good to meet up with everyone, and thanks to Karl & Angie for the bacon rolls, sausage rolls ... and the 99 ;D

I had a fantastic day! The weather was great and we only had a few minor breakdowns - my secondary keyswitch started playing up, and a couple overheated.
Chas managed to fix my groaning noise by packing the bearings with grease and also fitted a cable tie round the gearbox 'tongue' and fitted a new drivebelt. Thanks a lot mate, highly appreciated.
Also a thank you to Karl & Angie for the sausage rolls and the ice cream ;D
My pictures are now uploading and the ones that Dad took should be up soon too.
-
Looking forward to seeing those piccies :)
Thanks to everyone who came along to help make this such a really good run . Impressed with Chas making probably the longest journey in order to take part, closely followed by Kamil & miniDaz. Cheers guys, your support for the run is much appreciated.
Biggest surprise was Al coming along just to see a c5 for the first time before deciding whether or not he might want to buy one. I had a c5 available so he joined in the run ! Then, having completed the run, asked if he could buy the c5 he had just used 8) He was sporting a proper c5 grin throughout the day so it was obvious he really enjoyed the experience .
Pete provided a safety car/spares support van for the day which thankfully wasnt needed for any broken down c5's , just the one battery change half way through - but it was nice to have the support there if needed (cheers matie).
Angie and I never got to take any piccies so cant wait to see those that Pete and Kamil and his dad took.
A superb day ;D
-
Glad the weather held off (its been raining here in Peterborough all day) :( and no breakdowns.
Really Sad i missed this, everything was ready to go, but not getting home until after 4am i was a bit tired.
Look forward to seeing the pics. 8)
