Crazy ebay prices !
« on: 20, May, 2012 - 11:54:56 »
Howdy everybody,

I was wondering if anybody else had seen the indicator set on ebay with a buy it now price of £189.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VERY-RARE-UNUSED-SINCLAIR-C5-INDICATOR-LIGHTS-SET-/160804923652?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item2570b86904

Is it just me or is that price just plain mental ????????

I tried to make an offer that i thought was reasonable and i was quite pleased to find that i had put in the best offer.

I then received an email saying a counter offer had been put in, i then realized that the counter offer was put in by the seller for £189 ???????

Any thoughts on the price people ?????

Well Im new to the C5 world so i wasn't really sure what the going rate was for them so i only offered £45.

Im thinking this is probably a low offer, any recommendations on a fair price ???????

What would you guys say was a fair reasonable price for indicators ???

Well, I think 100 pounds is a very good price, but it´s only my opinion. Those crazy prices are the reason I did my own set of led indicators, the whole cost of the set with electronic flasher are a minimal fraction of an used original set and drain less power from batteries, if somebody wants the links of the parts I´ll give them at once, I like maintain my C5 as original as I can but I can´t pay so high prices for parts, and I use the C5 as a daily commuter so I need to replace parts frequently to keep it reliable and safe, and if I need alternative sources of parts I think I´ll use them.

Regards, Rafael

Asking prices are meaningless.

I have a clump of mud in the garden - only asking for £300 + £10 p&p

Anybody? :)

Like rafarestaura said 100 is very good, 120 + is a damn good price and IMO, someone selling has to be bonkers to refuse unless they are not bothered to part with. you ask what is reasonable , reasonable as the foam backing is ripped and the box is not collectable status as it is very tatty, then £90 - £100 as they are new and complete would be reasonable.

Have to agree with Marra- also I think you will find they are missing the original connector blocks - fitting clips -templates etc as I can't see them on the photo's
