C5 serial number
« on: 07, July, 2010 - 07:20:00 »
My c5 is missing its serial number plate.
I am going to use C5martin's Serial Number Plate (http://c5alive.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=261.msg1844#msg1844) but I would like to know what date range my c5 may have been produced so I can use an accurate year/month code. It has brown fingers on the motor and a grey boot. Does anyone know when the brown fingers were replaced with white ones? As far as i can tell from the sinclairc5 site, their directory shows grey boots were fitted to from V1000412 - V1000503.
Thanks, jason

I've decided to use V100050101874, which has been derived from having a grey boot (501), and the original motor S/N (01874)
That number is not listed in the c5 directory on the sinclairc5 site as yet.
Please tell me is this is your Serial number.

If you're worried about inadvertently copying somebody elses chassis number you could always change one of the group of zeros to an x or something. Guarantees your number will be unique  :)
