Pep:
It's good to hear positive results, I have not really used my C5 with the drum brake so it is difficult for me to compare the two, so it's good to hear initial feedback from what sounds like extensive testing, well done Pep

C5 ENTHUSIAST + RESTORER:
Hi there Pep using the C5 with the drum is ok but it does some times grab and it makes braking very hard to control .Eaven more so if you are on 24 volt ..also the brake shoes are running low and very hard to replace ...(please mind the punt)
As you sayTesting is going well thanks to Dan ...
And today I will be sending a kit to Dave  to do test on the black caliper  ;) ;) :D :D ;D ;D ....

All thanks to You Pep Chas

Pep:
Well done Chas
Hopefully Dave's testing will yield the same positive feedback  :)
Onwards and upwards or should that be forward and stop
I have recently bought a second C5 ( the bug goes on ) and have slowly started to restore this one, and it is in far better condition than the first one, so I shouldn't have to replace 98% of this one.

Pep :)

C5 ENTHUSIAST + RESTORER:
Hi there Pep that's great if you need any help just ask .. Bye Chas

dansretropod:
Hi Chas,

I remade the bearing bracket 1.75mm wider like you said.  I'll send you some when I return the old wheel later on.  As you can see the cable is "just" about long enough ;D:
