Painted C5
« on: 21, May, 2010 - 22:32:59 »
Last year I bought a white, painted c5.Why was it painted,as there was no damage to the body.
Well,so it was easier to clean!
So I decided to remove the paint.Big mistake. This paint had been put on to last.I tried Nitromores. After two days of stripping,Made me quite ill.
So off to the shed it went.
But last week I had a brainwave.Swap bodies.I have a very good C5 body in the shed, and the only alteration that would be required, was to make the holes for the indicators. So yesterday I removed the bodyshell, and found the chassis was in great condition,as was the motor and drive etc.Now awaiting another sunny day to put it all back together again.
