1994 Cavalier Ethos special edition -*** SOLD***
« on: 13, January, 2013 - 17:01:33 »
Hi folks just listed my Cavalier that has been registered in my name from new although I brought it for my father who used up until a few years ago - It was in my name because back then I worked for Vauxhall and got him it with my massive employee discount for the grand sum of £10k - well anyway when he finally decide to get a new Astra he kindly gave me it back and I had planned to tuck it away for a good number of years then take it to classic car shows - These plans have now changed due to my recent MGF purchase and the Cav has sadly ended up evicted from the garage sitting on my drive - As the wife's brand new car is now being parked on the road I have been getting 'earache' to shift it so it's now up on e-bay - If any of the members are interested please e-mail me and we can do a deal  ;)

What a great looking Car, I remember servicing these back in the 90's. I haven't seen one in ages. I hope you get a good price for such a cherished car.

Looks like a solid old car. Not many people buying cars that are 19 years old can claim they bough them off the original owner.

Would it not be better to put the car in for an MoT to see if it passes? It's only £55 and it should bring the value up somewhat.

I've seen this car at Marty's place and it is worth snapping up...sadly I've a few too many projects already otherwise I'd be tempted myself.

Marty - it might be worth placing an advert in Classic Car Weekly as it's free to use and gets good coverage ;

...another good free place to advertise is www.carandclassic.co.uk;

I've had good results from both these sites  8)

How much would the eBay fees cost

When selling motors: £10 listing fee + 10% of final price up to £40.

  • You don't have to be mad to own a C5, but it helps

I wish they had such fees on ebay.de, they've changed the regs about a year ago and now charge a 9% flatrate.  :-[
