Time to say bye
« on: 24, June, 2013 - 06:46:25 »
Hi Folks - As you will no doubt know I have purchased a MGF and this is now taking up most of my free time - I have been keeping my hand in on C5's as there was a gap in electronic knowledge / repairs and I wanted to be able to assist with keeping people up and running. With the great news that Mr Newman has agreed to run a tech section on here I can now feel happy that the gap I have plugged is very much covered so it seems a good time to move on to my latest hobby and bid my C5 friends a fond bye bye.We have had some great fun over the past years with C5Alive and have made some good friends and we will no doubt cross paths with some of you in the near future due  to the link in ownership in the MG world. Thanks chaps and happy C5ing ! Ps M and M Repairs will wind down over the next few months
Regards Marty , Carolyn , Matt and Luke

Ps I look forward to sharing my last project with Karl and Retroandy real soon

I've recently got back in to classic minis after having a year or two out, so know what it's like trying to find time for everything.

Have fun with your new hobby - we'll all have to find a suitable car show to meet up at in the future  :)

You're going to be very sorely missed! I know that my pair wouldn't be on the road without the kind help that you've given, but I can understand how other hobbies get in the way so a MASSIVE thankyou for all of your valuable help and assistance and wishing you all the very best for the future  :D

Ps. I hope the MG breaks down in a huge pool of oil so that you give up hope on it very quickly and return to C5's, but hey  ;D And yep, I'm joking... if your technical abilities with cars are anything like your superpowers with C5's I'm sure you'll have many years of trouble free motoring lol!

Now that radioMarty is moving on to the MGF world, are there any volunteers happy to take over the "picture of the month" feature ?

Marty, thanks for all the help getting Boomer going.  She still runs well, although it's time for a new battery.  I guess I'll have to learn to fix it myself now.  :-)

Enjoy the MGF.

Sorry I had missed this Marty, all the best mate and keep intouch when you can, all the best to you and your family  :)

P.S The C5 Alive project including myself, Karl and Marty should be making to Brooklands in September ! I have promised to keep it under my hat until then, hope you will be coming to the event.
