The original fronts were old BL units I believe, so the same as fitted to Reliant Scimitars/Bond Bugs etc. and you can get them quite cheaply BUT the rears were made by Sinclair as far as I know and were only fitted to the C5.

Correct! The fronts are generic BL side repeaters MK1 Metro, Land Rover ect

I thought folk could put ideas together to have something that looks good but not cost the earth. 2 of my C5's have indicators, 2 dont. I will not be paying £120 + just to have the rear ones identical as the fronts can be bought off the shelf now. I already have the front British Leyland indicators already in a drawer somewhere .

I have these pictures for the indicators.
Two very small ones on the front, the round ones on the rear. They are from Hella.

For the C5 purist it might be a horror though 8)

Hi Marra,

The nice thing about these rear lights, is that they also work as breaking lights. So if I brake they shine twice as bright as the normal rear light.
I bought a plastic cutting board (second hand) to fit the lights in. I made two layers and mounted the lamps on the top layer. This second layer below this one, creates that little extra room you need for the lampholders behind the plastic. I first tried it with wood, but thats not weather proof.

I am glad you didn't place a picture from my hairy arms!

It is nice to see that the "best" solutions are often found in copy-ing nature's way.
