23rd May 2010 - "M & M" run Milton Keynes
« on: 05, December, 2009 - 16:58:25 »
I fancy taking a look at those concrete cows and other tourist attractions in Milton Keynes  ;D. There is a circular 15mile route designed as a sight seeing tour for cyclists which should be suitable, I've found it on the MK Heritage website;

http://www.mkweb.co.uk/cycling/documents/MK_City_Wide_Circular.PDF

Never having been to this neck of the woods before it should be an interesting run out.

Anyone else up for this ?

The blurb for this run looks good and always interesting to go to new places.

Maybe the full 15miles may be pushing it a bit for some of our batteries?
Or we may end up pushing,LOL
A slightly shorter route could be arranged.
Unless,someone has found a cheep sauce of gell batteries???
He said wishfully.

15miles is roughly the same as c5martins Horsham run, so we know it can be done.

I'm told by some colleagues that live there that this Milton Keynes route is also quite flat - so a healthy set of batteries should be up to the job  ;)

I'll probably take a wobble up to Milton Keynes to check out some of the route in the new Year just to make sure its all good  :)

we might not need those big batteries -:

is it worth telling MK Council of our run and ask for normal booster chargers please?  ;D

I would have liked to attend if it is, but this is the only weekend my wife can book a Saturday morning off in May or June and we are going to Legoland for the weekend with the kids, I hope it does as it looks like a really good route.
