Brighton Run - Sunday 8th June '08
« on: 27, May, 2008 - 21:45:38 »
Anyone fancy a day out at the seaside ?  :-*

Same as last years run, meet at the Hove end and take a gentle trundle along to the Brighton Marina before turning around and trundling back again  ;)

A fairly short & leisurely route, completely flat with a lovely rest stop at the Pier.

What a fab run  ;D

One of the highlights was going through the London-Brighton Classic Car run parking area and being announced over the tannoy as part of the show. Even posed with the photographers for some official pictures.   8)

Shameless "gatecrashing" of a superb event  :o :D

Even achieved my weird ambition of taking a C5 round a mcDonalds Drive-thru , the staff loved it when all five of us turned up and ordered.  :-*

Bit sunburnt though... :P

Loads of interested people stopping and asking us if the C5's were for hire, how much, how fast ,are they new etc etc.  Proves there is still a huge interest in Sir Clives famous creation  :)

(piccies to follow)

What a fantastic day!

As Karl mentioned we all had great fun 'gate crashing' the classic car convention and going through the McDonalds drive thru was a good laugh.

Judging by the smiles we got and the interest from so many passers by, I think we entertained alot of people as well as our selves.

My fav quote I heard a kid say to his mate "What are those? I think they are those new next generation bikes", which was funny when you think the C5 was probably twice as old as him!

Looking forward to the Horsham run, but will bring Sunblock as sun burnt to bits!
