Got this off a friend at work;

...in need of light restoration, but all there  8)

Might take me a while to sort it out as I've a few c5 projects on the go, but I am looking forward to getting it back to its former glory  :).

Not sure what the stars and stripes model is , but this one was going begging because of a loft clearout  :P

I've been trawling through the 'net for some spares and noticed these guys;

Looks like the Grifters have an owners site just like the c5's - and they go to Brooklands as well . I reckon we should have a joint meeting/road trip, can you imagine the reaction ? A convoy of c5's and Raleigh Grifters  ;D

this thread reminds me of a few years ago, i was in a neighbours, they were cb radio fans at the time.

a local lad aged about 15, not the brightest spark but harmless enough, had an Archer portable CB radio, and in the habit of walking the streets and talking over it to people, not having the punch to go to far.

so a conversation starts up and he says he has been doing mums shopping, blah blah, then said he had his shopping bag hung over his 'chopper'!

a stunned silence, get him to repeat and he doe's, so now we fear not being bright he might have been given some drugs or drink 'for a laugh' and is now buck naked, so we all shot out to find him.

after a brief search he was located, there he was in all his glory - fully clothed riding a Rayleigh Chopper, shopping over the handlebars.

i don't think we stopped laughing for several hours  ;D

I never got round to doing much with it, it was purchased as a Xmas pressie for my brother. Put some new tyres and brake blocks on it and that was about it ! He was well chuffed with it though  ;D
