do people tend to paint them , I'm guessing there the colour of the plastic not paint from new  ?

They started off white, although the boot colours did change ( either white or grey )
It is possible to paint the body shells but it's far from straight forward due to the material used. Even standard car graphic / decals won't stick to the body.
If you paint them without proper prep, and the correct primer, then the paint just flakes off.

I used to own a purple C5, which i painted in my garden using spray cans, so it is do-able, just takes time.

cool , thats quit funky :) i like them white tbo just wondered if they did any limited edition ones , iv paint a far few cars and fibreglass buggy's over the years so mite consider some paint if i end up with a proper banger , i would thinks i good shiny silver would look good or a nice black to match my van ,

iv got a habit of doing things black with black fluffy inside  :) this is where the c5 will be parked
