Thank you.

I do have a small problem.  The pod doesn't always work but if I push the red connector in the back it lights up.

What is the correct procedure for cleaning this up or replacing it?

Thanks

Simon

Hi there Simon what I do is to use some emery cloth on the contacts pins . Then spray a little contact cleaner in the cable connector and on the pins... bye Chas

Hey thanks Lance

Thanks also for the chat we had prior to me purchasing one.  I took as much advice as I could and made sure all the important items were included.

If I can find a way of transporting it to Heaton Park maybe we could meet up for a spin one weekend.

Thank you

Simon

Hello All

Right I have got my C5 into the position I need to store it in. I know its probably not ideal but it's the best I can do with the space I have.

Can anyone tell me if I am going to do any damage to it, is anything going to de-form or mis-shape. Its kind of resting on its boot on a door mat to stop it getting scratched.

Is this ok?

Thanks

Simon

  • You don't have to be mad to own a C5, but it helps

Hi Simon,

whatever you do always remove the battery when parking in this position, unless you happen to have a 100% sealed battery. If the battery is not sealed you can expect a heap of trouble.  :o :o

I second what Karl has just said.

You shouldn't experience any problems with parking it like that as long as the battery is removed, unelss of course it is a 100% sealed one.

Hiya Lance

Not to sure, I have a few problems to overcome first!

I am still running on the original tyres, I don't think they have been used much but are so old I am not sure they are safe??  I am debating buying some of the city jets before they go out of stock.

I am running on the original battery, not sure it will have a range to get around Heaton Park, I have a C5 Alive wiring kit but I am wondering if I should keep the key switch and buy a compatible battery.  If I do this I am not sure how the plastic cover fits as the original battery has screwed bars coming out of the terminals.

I am not confident to ride the C5 on the roads yet to Heaton Park and I don't have a car that it will fit in!

Also I think I need to grease everything before a big run, when I go around  right hand corner I get a squeaking noise, I am presuming that the bearings need greasing on the off side wheel?

I am not sure if I should just go for the strip down and re-grease everything after painting the frame and building back up.

Any help on any of the above is always welcome from anyone!!

Simon
