Title: The Royal Run *17th August* 2008
Post by: Retro Andy on 06, May, 2008 - 12:43:15
I have looked at a possible route which is about 6 miles from mine to Sandringham along some cylce tracks, through the woods (not off road) and
an un-used road, which is great for about a mile no cars to worry about, who would be interested, food & coffee/tea at mine, stop at Sandringham for an ice-cream and everyone to see then stop for a pint on the way back ?
I was thinking of a Sunday in June or July ? open to ideas .

I’m up for the The Royal Run.
Sounds like a Great Idea!

I will check with Karl to see when his new job will allow him to come out and play.
Depending on the numbers we down south may need to organise combined transport.

6th July clashes with the Horsham run...it might be best to avoid two meetings on the same day.

Sadly I am working the 29th June.

However, if you could manage something for the 7th and 8th June I'd be able to come along. :-*

I'm an idiot, sorry Martin did'nt mean to go for the same date as the Horsham run, away i'm easy, the only dates that are out, are 1st & 15th June and any other Sunday that clashes with another run, so once people have replied with dates i will pick one that hopfully we all can attend

Hiya,

I may be up for that, if there is somewhere close by to pitch the tent (after Wales tenting is easy!!, ask Karl the caravan man!!).
How about some food on route!!!!!! and a decent place to carry out the ablutions etc? (Wales was bleak and wet and cold and damp and windy....but bloody good fun!!!)

Cheers..Lee

Just trying to get an idea of numbers for the royal run, post a note on forum or give me a call on 01553 674912, the more the better, so come along if you can. If anyone would like to find a camp site in this area i can find out price's etc and send you information, i was thinking of getting bacon and sausages for any early birds and get the bbq out for breakfast, oj and coffee to wash it down.

Retro Andy.
P.S Karl please bring me a pair of rear tyres.

fingers crossed we get this wet stuff out of the way before the run.

May i say a big thanks to Karl, Angie, Martin, Steve and Ray for such a great day yesterday, the weather was great just at the right time, when i see the rain when i got up, i thought it was going to be a wash out, but the sun came out for run and could not have been better.
I had great fun again, and all the c5's went well, the tyres are better and the mudflaps and mast has made mine look much better, next time i go down that hill i will try to get closer to Adam Harper's world record !
Thanks for the pint Martin and the ice cream Steve, hope to see you in couple of weeks.

wow, warm weather..seems like such a long while ago  :o

Good photo's mate , reminds me what c5alive is all about - getting out there and using the little beasties  8)

Not wanting to wish any of my life away, but roll on the warmer weather :P

Still , we do have Rays Norfolk run to look forward too - even if we will need our thermals.
