Want to help out with some television filming (on 6th Aug)?
« on: 05, August, 2010 - 15:23:41 »
I've received the following via email;

Hello,

I work for Granada Reports and we are looking for people in the North West region with C5's who would be willing to be filmed in action on their C5's for a story on the 25th Anniversary.

Let me know if you're able to help.

Latest update on this ;

Its for tomorrow !

From the email;

We're planning to film sometime tomorrow, as long as the owners C5 is up and running, we will film anywhere in the North West Region

...I have replied that it is short notice , which is a bit of a shame as it means we might not be able to help as much as we'd like to  :-\

I've sent a link of this topic to the Chris at ITV so he can see any replies direct ( I'm at work tonight on night shift )

North west I can't do but if they come to Bedford they can have the use of both of my (fully working) C5s all day long!

Yesterday I discussed them filming my C5 in Leeds; My works is less than a mile from their sister company  Yorkshire TV place but they insisted it had to be someone from their region. They are under the impresssion I think that Sunday is the 25th aniversary of the C5.

I imagine this filming was sparked off by the MOSI event, shame none of us could help out at either of them. Then again, it isn't often we're unable to help.

Does beg the question though; if they wanted to do a feature about the c5's 25th birthday, why didn't they just get involved in our c5-25 event at Brooklands ?

I attended the MOSI event with my C5. There were at least two C5s belonging to the museum, plus another with a plaque marked "belonging to the Clive Jones collection". A member of the mueum staff gave a short talk about the C5 to the classic car drivers who were assembled prior to departing for a charity drive into Derbyshire. the museum also has two Enfield Electric cars incidentally.

Yes I did take a couple of C5s but have had no timer yet to transfer them from my phone to the web-site
