Same as in previous years, this thread will be a "sticky" to stay at the top of the meetings section so it can be used as a quick reference for all the 2012 events and meetings.
Full details of each meeting/event will be given on a separate thread that will be linked to this topic, otherwise it all gets a bit cluttered and difficult to read. Dates shown may be subject to change, and locations may be altered, so it is always worth checking the relevant topic first before making the journey to a particular event or meeting ;).
If you want to host a c5alive meeting just let me know and it will be added to this list. If planning a run, they're best kept to about 10-15miles with circular routes preferred.Using the same start and finish points keeps the logistics simple and having a Pub stop at the halfway point is always popular ;D.

Looking for a date for this years Royal Run (the C5th) , the calender is starting to look pretty busy, any date thats good for everyone ?
Retro Andy.
-
Looking at one Sunday in July or August ?
Retro Andy.
-
I'll be struggling to get to many events in July and August due to work...no time off allowed during the Olympics ::)
How about Sat 23/ Sun 24 June or Sat 30th Jun / Sun 1st July ?
Your run is always a good one due to the lovely long downhill stretch 8) (..and the outside catering ;D)
-
I'll speak to the boss and see which is the prefered date out of those Karl.
Retro Andy.
-
At the moment i think either of those dates are good for me, so hopefully i'll be there, as , as Karl said, it is a great run, and the downhill is excellent ;D
-
Might try a Saturday this time, 23rd or 30th June ?
Retro Andy.
-
I'm not working Saturday 23rd, so this would be the prefered date, if that's alright :)
Retro Andy.
-
I could probably do the 23rd, depends on whether one of the parents will able to take me there though.
-
Sat 23rd would also be good for me :)
-
Looks like the 23rd it is then ;)
I'll update the calendar etc.
-
As with the Milton Keynes run - ever changing work shifts aside if I can I will :) :) :)
-
hi there will try my best to get there....so yes for now me and mel
the plumber
-
I have spoken to Dad and he said he should have the day off work.
-
Oh poo :o
I've just double checked the calender and it looks like i'm going to have to pull out of this one :(
We've recently booked for a weekend away with the Bongo lot, and guess what weekend it is :-\
I'll hopefully be with you in spirit though as i'm planning on taking the C5 with me :)
-
Better get my C5 cleaned up and serviced in the next few weeks ready for the run, who's coming ?
Retro Andy.
-
who's coming ?
I should be able to.

It's not looking like sun cream will be needed tomorrow (At least are motors shouldn't over heat), but looks like it's going to rain today (Friday) and then again on Sunday, so hope it will be a dry, but a bit windy according to the forecast this morning, see you tomorrow around 10.00am.
Retro Andy.
-
Looking forward to it, see you tomorrow. :)
Steve
-
For some reason I thought this was last weekend!
Have a great time folks!
-
Have a great run guy's - struggling to get to them this year as I have been transferred to day shift which means working numerous weekends >:(
-
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it tomorrow. Dad's car is going into a garage for a new brake caliper and he needs our other car to get to work.
-
Oh well, just the four of us then, more sausage rolls to go round :-[ ;D Weather is far better than yesterday and looking forward to having some fun.
Retro Andy.

Many thanks to Steve and Ray for coming along today, had a great run with no breakdowns, but did realise that we all need replacement
batteries as had to do a lot more pedalling than would have liked. Met some nice people along the way, stopped at the castle for some photos, had a nice pint and many thanks to Steve for the ice cream.
Retro Andy.

Thanks Andy for organising, it was a great day. Weather turn out ok, no rain, a bit windy but not too hot which was good because of the extra pedaling we all did.
Thanks Andy for nibbles before we went, the beer in the pub and the battery your wife dropped off after a couple of miles as mine was flat :(
A couple of pictures

Looks like you had a great day guys 8).
-
Glad it was yesterday, as it's heavy rain here today :'(
Retro Andy.
-
Was a shame i couldn't make it this year as it's a favourite ( i was in a field with lots of Bongos ;D ) , but it looks like you had a great time, and the weather behaved itself.
Have to try and get to it again next year :)
-
Sadly this years wasnt our best as far as events are concerned, mainly due to the appaling summer weather >:( and my own work commitments (Diamond Jubilee & OIympics ::) ).
Hopefully next year will be closer to our usual high standard 8)
-
Where dose this event take place
-
The route starts in the Kings lyn area, close to the Castle Rising, down to the Sandringham estate a short stop there at the visitors centre and then a return trip back to the start via a slighly different route.
