I went along to Crawley College to take a quick look at some of the vehicles taking part in the Future Car Challenge http://www.futurecarchallenge.com/
As expected there was some very nice and expensive machinery on display, especially loved the selection of Tesla's :) Mostly they were "mainstream" cars so not enough "oddball" stuff for my liking, but there were one or two that took my fancy 8)
What I didn't anticipate was the amount of attention "Voodoo" caused, at one point I was surrounded with people asking all about Sinclair C5's - which was superb ;D A few were brave enough to have a whizz about in Voodoo and all came back with the famous "C5 grin", raving about how good they are !
Pretty amazing considering the amount of corporate/company vehicles on show :D
A couple of piccies from the day ;

Hopefully this will become a regular annual event and start to atrract some more vehicles as it grows. It was well worth going along to, plus I met up with some friends from the Battery Vehicle Society...big hello to Nicky and thanks for the hug :-*
Apparently there were quite a few celebs there, but I was so wrapped up in speaking with people interested in c5's I didn't get to see half of what was going on. We might have to go "mob-handed" next year and have a proper c5alive event there ;D

We got a very nice mention in this review of the day;

..and also a mention on the BVS website;

...all had the famous "C5 grin", and now want one 8)

I was hoping it was that car (T25). Now I'm really gutted I didnt come to this event as I've got my eye on one of those!
-
I have been keeping up on this, something that when it does take off will for sure purpass the G,wiz, Prius and the new IQ-E . Looking forward to this, will be visiting a showroom for a test drive next year.
-
I remember seeing it before now, it looks quite cool, a great little city round around.

My concerns about the black car would be about getting in and out dry when raining: and getting out alive after an frontal accident or a rollover.
Resale values of somewhat stupid-looking cars are usually lower than those of reasonably designed ones-if it looks right it is right
-
As far as I'm aware, the T-25 is to be tested the same was as a normal car (EuroNCAP).
Time will of course tell :)

All the T series's allow their side windows and casing to clip out via 1 clip release and a leaver. seen this on an earlier model. Also the front hinge can be released to remove the whole top. The idea of getting in and out when its pooring is a thought ??? brolly to the ready i think.
-
The brolly won't stop the interior taking a soaking unfortunately. If it gets a Euro NCAP 5 star rating then it will be safe to crash it in order to improve the styling.
-
Now now coverman
keep that up and you'll be taking my "grumpy old man" trophy off me ;D

Two holes in the bottom will keep the black folding car dry, kind of!
You could have thought about that yourself coverman ;D ;D and if you make them big enough you can get out as well. LOL

Actually I did own a bad(but not stupid) looking car(Mini-Marcos) which was a supposedly closed car but which succeeded in soaking me right through just in the course of an 80 mile drive to a hillclimb I was competing in. I did drill holes in the floor to get rid of the water, and in anticipation of future similar weather. That car is now in Japan so it is someone else's problem!!

Having "gate-crashed" the event it was a bit of a surprise to see my piccie in the local paper ;D;

...despite being the oldest and cheapest vehicle there , a c5 got a mention. Superb !

Another really good avent Karl.

I will use the picture of the newspaper into the flyer I am making for sponsors etc.
That is, if you don't mind. Even though you have no wheel caps, Karl :D

Seems to me more like history, as in VooDoo stole the show ;D

I will, gives me something to do tomorrow. ;D
impressive lot of pictures and articles. Wow
I go for the futuristic look that matches with the "green tendency of this 21 th century", but then build 26 years ago. 8)
