Looks quite interesting. Much difference felt when driving this compared to a standard one?

I like the idea Chas.

How are you going to control them 12v or 24v, modify a POD / Control box or is this just of relays an have your POD converted to have the digital display (like Batmobile).

Hi regarding the workings of it ..Both motors are 12 volt and both have there own battery .The motor on the left is connected under the normal way (through the pod and the push switch on the left handle bar ...) The one on the right is controlled through a relay and switch under the seat .To start it I have fitted a push switch on the right side of the handle bar (The one that is used for the horn...)
They can be used separate or both together ..The idea is that when you come across an incline you can press both switchers to give a boost ....And I have tried it and it works great ..
The other way is use the C5 as normal and if the motor starts getting hot you can switch over to the other side and carry on ...

Like the idea a lot, would be good for hilly areas like Manchester.....................

Is it an easy fix to the rear axle...

Looks good  ;D I did wondered why people put two motors on, it makes sense in hilly areas.

You could put one motor on each wheel and have motor driven steering, like a tank! :D

I think that this would probably still be legal??   As you are still only getting 250w MAX @ 12v but more just more power when one of the motors starts to struggle.

I like it.

The top speed is still only going to be 15mph and as no one can see the extra motor all should be ok.

It will just have more torque.

Not sure how much the additional motor and the platform weighs but it might just fall foul of the maximum weight limit ?

Two or three wheels with pedal propulsion
Maximum weight of 40 or 60 Kg, depending on vehicle configuration
Maximum motor continuously rated output, 200 or 250 Watts, depending on vehicle configuration
Maximum powered speed 15 mph (24 kph)

You'd have to be really unlucky to get stopped and questioned in the first place though !

This piccie shows agenuine Sinclair twin motor prototype that appeared at our c5-25 event;

How do you get the roller bearing off the brake side to get the motor mount on the axle

Bearing puller , 2 or 3 arm. I have a 9" , they are cheap enough ..... or stand on side on a piece of wood and knock it off with a hammer then replace with a new one. about £4 on ebay for a good branded one. hammer is a little barbaric though.

Hi by removing the brake side bearing you will still not be able to get the large pulley over the Axel ...
