Angie and I went for a short break touring the Lake District in our recently acquired MGF TF135.

The sunshine meant we got to enjoy roof down motoring every day we were there, which must be a first for a holiday in the UK  8)

A few assorted piccies ;

Ron called in to see us as well, bringing along his "Wheeler Dealers" Bond Bug

..many thanks to Ron for taking me out for a quick spin in the Bug, certainly one of lifes great experiences . Just like with the c5's you get people staring at you and taking piccies as you whizz past  ;D

I'll have to ask my navigator (Angie) as I've forgotten :o  ;D , it was a really good road trip with the scariest part being Hardknott Pass. Not just the 1 in 5 gradients and twisty turning bends, but more the suicidal oncoming traffic and sheer drops ! Character building stuff  ???

Stunning photo's ..

We took about 130 piccies but thought it best to post just a few on here, otherwise the viewing figures may drop off a bit  :P

It is an amazing place to visit - provided you're lucky with the weather  :)

As the MG is our first ever convertible car we didn't fully appreciate the need for sun cream in hot weather , we've certainly got a sun-fried look about us at the moment  :o

Top fun though, motoring about in the sunshine with the roof down .It brings back the enjoyment of driving a car  8)
