Indeed, I am very exited ;D
Definitely in much better condition than my SMART Roadster :p

How do you find the TF relative to the smart? I've been considering both, more so the smart at the minute, but I'd be interested to hear a comparison from someone that has owned both, even if you haven't had a chance to give the TF a workout yet. :P

Both cars have paranoia issues
With the roadster you constantly worry about water ingress to the SAM unit which kills the car and costs around £700 to fix and with the MGF / TF you worry about HGF (head gasket failure) which costs around £500 pounds to fix.
Parts for the roadster are expensive and so are labour costs whereas the MGF / TF parts are cheaper and so are labour costs.
Tax for the roadster is £105 a year and for my MG TF is £215 a year.
All smarts have a dreadfull 6 forward 1 reverse automatic gearbox system (with manual clicky shift override)with THE worst shift time which is what you don't want in a sports car whereas the MGF / TF has a manual 5 forward 1 reverse gearbox as standard and some Fs / TFs were fitted with a automatic gearbox with paddle (well, little ball) shift
My conclusion is...... Get a F / TF

Thanks, the other thing I noticed about the smart is they seem to need engine rebuilds with very few miles on the clock. I've done a headgasket on a K-Series before, so that's not as big a worry for me as it could be. Have been in a smart and it was great fun, but am yet to experience a TF properly.
