Hello Every one Going to strip the body off i have a mate who has fixed tv's for years. what are the obvious  parts that normally pop on the electronics as far as the drive motor i am ok should fix or service that myself.I want to have a go  to get to know the machine radio marty sounds like a true enthusiast .   I have read on the site 24v gives you more speed. does the motor have higher revs or do you change the gearing to achieve it. I can't believe the cost of some of the parts on e/bay wow cheeper to get another c5. andy b

Hi the 24v conversion gets rid of the standard POD and control box. Most use the 4QD Uni8 controller and speed throttle. The use of the standard motor gearbox is used with additional cooling. Slowly on ramping the speed, as to not put too much strain on the gearbox or it will fail.

You end up putting twice the voltage and thus more current through the motor which in turn upto twice the speed.  Hope this helps.

Hi see attached link

http://www.4qd.co.uk/prod/uni.htmlrently don't

It depends on what you want from your C5. I have two standard ones and wanted something different so I am spraying and modifying the body and adding 24v control. I am also looking at modifying the POD but that will take some time, what I currently don't have so its going to be next year now.
