@ Dan,

What happened to that guy who was making replacement ones?

Phil has stated categorically that he will not produce any further ULA replacements, see http://c5alive.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,2471.msg20717.html#msg20717. So don't wast your time trying to contact him, IF he answers then it will only be confirmation of  his non participation.

No, not him... another thread that I read recently...

Sorry Marty, I'm out of the game.

I'm 72 years old and living on a meager pension.

To make one for myself is no problem, except the high cost of a single board and the additional cost of the equipment, for a one time use, to test and setup this unit. I was, at the time, prepared to make a minimum 20 units. This would have lowered the cost of buying components and spread the cost of the required equipment.

I'm involved in social work for a minimum of 4 hours per day x 365 days a year, and I'd like a little time to work on my own projects. The layout for all this would have placed a heavy financial burden on my shoulders as well as take up a lot of my time.  To send the individual units to the UK would have upped the cost and taken up a lot of my time, this is the reason I wanted someone in the UK to accept a bulk shipment and to do the individul customer settings thereby spreading the work load as well as  lowering the postal costs.

Since nothing concrete materialised I've got round to solving the pedelec problem for #1, and as quoted I have a solution for #2.

The thing that really surprises me are the number of queries concerning the ULA and the long and everlasting requirement for a replacement , and yet the almost total lack of response when help was requested to produce them.  :( :( :(

Hi Marty,

it's not a case of 'I'm 72 years old and living on a meager pension.'

I was prepared to go ahead in as much I was in contact with Phil, plus I was prepared to help others in order to help myself.

Eye ain't gonna last four ever, eye's all so wanna bitta phun.  8) 8)

It is funny spotting these things that your predictive text has done  ;D ;D

May be you should read it through and check it
