this is such a good conversion, i hopeyoumake it available in a kit or from  plans only.

all the measuring and chin scratching is done, so would be great option to let others do the same, and you make some money for your very hard innovative work too.

very well done either way

Hi there Alan thanks for the comments ..Regarding kit form maybe but that will be later on I do have 1 more 900 watt motor left but I think I will fit it in the middle of the back Axel its a lot easier . Iv`e got to catch up on the decorating (I hate it but someone has to do it ).There is always something in the way of my C5 hobby's....

i did see a physically similar motor on ebay, but it was rated 24v @ 250 watts, guessed it was not what you had used.

in my case i have a standard C5,  'Behemoth' which has the original C5Alive 24v upgrade, obviously the pod is not used and the old sinclair controller was removed.

while it all sems ok to me, no real idea what punishment it has had, so i'm expecting likely as it is the original motor and gearbox might not last over long, me being the proactive type i'm just looking ahead for alternatives in the future.

like you, i'm time poor and have loads of ideas buzzing around my head to try out - and a brand new as yet unused MIG welder to play with, and just begging to be plugged in ;D

so your design in either format is very attractive  :D. as i Karl's new metal gearbox when it comes on line, will be interesting to see which one is the quicker or more robust - having seen the prototype at Brooklands hard call to make a guess on, but either will improve the C5's reliability.
