Looking for a new Chain.. any advice, is it as easy as getting two bike chains and joining them together?

Do original C5 chains have a link to remove them?

Thanks

Dan

  • 4 legs may be better than 2 but 3 wheels better then anything!

Hi!
Although a VERY newbie to C5s I have removed my chain and can confirm there is a special pin between links held in place by a very small split pin. It removed very easily.
Regarding a chain, they have been obtained from Halfords on at least one occasion. The link below shows this.

trust this helps.

Hi there,
I broke my chain a while ago and I got a new one from my local bike shop. Its not a standard one, its one used for the BMX Bikes, as these are wider and can hold more strain. Hope this helps,
