How fast ?

It's a question we are always asked when out and about on a Sinclair C5.

Trawling through the internet I came across this quote from Chris Crosskey;

I got 60 out of mine down a very very steep hill in Scotland, and that's
what I told the guy.... I seriously don't recommend it, over 40 and the
steering gets as stiff as a board, you'd better be on Schwalbe's too, I
can't imagine a set of 20-year old Vee-rubbers taking it...... or Raleigh
redstripes...

60mph on a Sinclair C5  :o ;D 8) - top respect !!

Andy will have to find a bigger hill in Norfolk for us to beat that.... :D ;)

A good recommendation for Schwalbe tyres though !

I once did 30 and could not see for the tears in my eyes.  Stopping was a bit scary too.

The hill we come down on the Royal Run is great fun and last year when Martin came along his speedo reached 27 mph, coming down it on Sunday over taking some people on push bikes my cap flew off which was really funny.

..a steel wheel on the front helps  :)

During the London-Brighton run I trashed a new Sinclair front wheel going down some of the hills. The smell of burning plastic when braking was horrible  :o
