Title: New toy - Number 2.....
Post by: baselpat on 02, September, 2013 - 09:43:34
I can see how some of you seem to have "collections" of C5s - This C5 lark gets addictive...

My newest winter project:

A barn find (literary - The seller and I had to drag it out the farm barn to get it out into the open and then in to the car  ;D ) and in a generally unloved cosmetic condition.  No idea of the operational electrical state yet, but it is all there and the underside/frame is in a superficially good condition and clean, unlike the top:

1st plan and main reason for purchase - Spares : Take the front and rear lights and move them to my road going C5 (I didn't pay much for it and much less the cost of a front / rear lights would have cost me to import from the UK - the rest is a Bonus)
2nd plan - Clean and restore the rest back to non-motorized bicycle state - A "show" non runner...
long term - Get it running with original electronics in place....

One nice unexpected bonus was waiting for me in the boot:

Didn't have this from the 1st C5, so it feels great that with a combination of both versions I have a "Complete" C5  ;) :D...

Hi there I would love to restore it ....Chas

And Chas,  Having seen your previous handy work I would dearly love that too  ;) ...  Unfortunately shipping costs across Europe (twice) don't allow that  :'( .
