I followed your example mate, and used my C5 in the snow  ;D

Looking at the dodgy road conditions I wimped out of starting a 30mile commute on my motorbike. The local radio said all the train services in my area  were also suspended .

Being a bit cynical I popped down to the train station to find out for myself..

...the staff at Three Bridges confirmed all services suspended  ::)

So I phoned work and told them I was a bit stuck for getting in and have ended up with an unexpected day off.

Had such a laugh getting to the train station on the C5, I went for a quick visit to my mum via the bank to pay som bills.

To be honest, I was amazed at how well a C5 copes with being driven in the snow. Must be something to do with the skinny tyres  :D

Plus the Halfords leisure battery seems to be a bit healthier since I charged it using an adapted Sinclair charger. Only lost one segment for the whole trip !

Looks like you should have got some warm gloves while you were out Karl. I did'nt get any photos, but when i got to work i had i little fun spinning around in circle's, i nearly tipped right over, which was a first, but at least my wheels stood up to the abuse, had great fun, would be great to do a snow run one day.

Karl,

I went about 5 or 6 miles, the snow didn't make the journey any longer than normal and I lost just the 1 segment on the battery "fuel guage".

Quite impressed with the c5 really  ;)

Oh well, i tried to go to work on my C5 this morning, but only got about 1/4 of a mile before having to pull Charlie back home, the snow was too much, deep snow (about 6cm's) and i could'nt pedal or use the motor, the wheels just kept spinning, I did talk a couple of photo's.

It's back, and its deeper this time, so I don't think I will get to work on Charlie today, perhaps try though.
If anyone gets out their today add a photo.

going to wait for the workers to clear traffic then do a local CCTv service call

the snow meant i've blown other work out today, which means i'm done now until Jan 6th (being self employed has some advantages  ;D),

was going into Liverpool Street by train to finish offf some LAN cabinet CAT5e wiring, do not fancy the cold waits on the platforms, the uncertainty in arriving sometime today let alone getting home again by Monday.

so on the menu later today is - hot toddys and xbox live overindulgence, well until she who must not be ignored comes in from work   ;D

I rode the 36miles home from work last night in the snow, on my motorbike.

Not as much fun as it sounds .

Think I'll wimp out and use the train today  :)
