looking for a broken pod and a c5 chain. couldn't find a half link for love nor money  , may try taking my existing chain in to halfords and see if they can shove in a couple more links

Nothing wrong with using a chain without the half-link, it just means you'll get a slight amount of chain slip when struggling up hills.

Having it a bit loose is by far and away the more preferable option, as opposed to having it as tight as the one fitted to your c5 at Brooklands.

thanks karl, will probably end up buying a couple of those. will first ask my bmx savvy mate if he can put on more links then maybe my local bike shop.

have edited the title as i've decided to attempt to track down a new bodyshell aswell
