I'm not really near anyone or any thing over at Cleethorpes!
No real hills here either :)

Just my thoughts on the debate about where the meetings are located. Before I purchased my Toyota Estima, I would hire a van to take the c5's for Angie and myself to the various meetings at different parts of the country. We travelled hundreds of miles from Crawley to Weston Super Mare,Chelsmford, Ascot, Bournemouth & Norfolk to name but a few  - a bit pricey but always worth it. As with most hobbies, I find that c5's can gobble up your time and money when the demands on both are high and a balance has to be made. But I reckon life is what you make it and what you get out of it is directly related to the effort you put in - the memories from attending virtually every c5alive meeting from 2006 onwards (before I even joined the forum !) are priceless, as are the many friendships that have grown from meeting new people along the way.

Personally, I physically cannot fit in many more events for this year - but I'd really love to see lots more events being sorted out by everyone else, using the c5alive forum to meet up and have a laugh. It all helps to keep things going , and if you do arrange a run yourself at least you know you wont have too far to travel   :)

I was in the immense Heaton Park Manchester this week and spotted a portion of pathway that could be isolated to form a racetrack. There are several C5's at MOSI and they might have enough influence with Manchester city council to persuade them to allow us either to have use of that specific pathway  or to use others for a run through the park. I took my C5 to a MOSI do once so could speak to the guys there if there was sufficient advance intetest from other northern C5 owners

Leeds parks tend to be very hilly (except Golden Acre but  there is no alternate park for the walkers).and they arent as big as Heaton Park.
Who is going to ask Machester Leisure Services?

North Manchester here.

I have slight restrictions as I don't have a vehicle to transport my C5 in.  I have to rely on friends.

Could always hire a van for the day? Not too expensive at around £50/day.

???Hi I live up north but sadly on the wrong side of the pennines compared to most of you but I do have a brother that lives north of Manchester. I wish more members lived nearer. I don't mind a bit of a travel as I travelled over 600 miles to collect my  C5 from Karl . Its a real pity as a few mention a run along Blackpool but I can assure you our coastline is far superior to Blackpools and has many miles of clifftop bike paths
